Josefina López, Founding Artistic Director of CASA 0101 Theater, and Emmanuel Deleage, Executive Director, will present Tuesday’s With Morrie, the inspiring stage adaptation of the bestselling book by Mitch Albom, written by Jeffrey Hatcher. Directed by Miguel Angel Delgado, this moving production stars Vance Valencia as Morrie Schwartz and Gilbert Reynoso as Mitch Albom.
As part of CASA 0101 Theater’s 25th Anniversary Season, this heartfelt play will run for four weeks, from April 18 to May 11, 2025. You can catch the show on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. at the Gloria Molina Auditorium (located at 2102 East First Street, Los Angeles, CA 90033).
Based on the breakout New York Times bestseller, Tuesday’s With Morrie tells the story of Mitch, an ambitious journalist whose life revolves around his career, and his former college professor, Morrie, who is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. What starts as a visit to reconnect turns into a life-changing weekly ritual, where Mitch learns invaluable lessons about the meaning of life, love, and the importance of human connection.
“I first read TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE in middle school, and it had a profound impact on me then—and still does today. The play carries a powerful message about living fully, even in the face of adversity. Morrie’s joyful, optimistic outlook is something we can all learn from.”
Miguel Angel Delgado, the play’s director.
