Andell Family Sundays Art Workshops:
Finding Balance: Mobile Workshop
Create a one-of-a-kind mobile inspired by Yassi Mazandi’s Language of the Birds. Participants will learn about and focus on themes from the artist’s work, such as balance, migration, and self-actualization while designing their own flock of birds to take home.
Protector of Water: A Tribute to Yemaya
Join us in learning about Caribbean, African, and Latin American folk art and spirituality! In her practice, Alison Saar calls on the goddess Yemaya, who commands water. In this workshop, create special trinkets inspired by Yemaya.
A Gateway to Sky: Kite Activation
Design a kite inspired by Kang Seung Lee’s ¡la revolución es la solución!, which centers Latasha Harlins and the 1992 L.A. Uprising.
