The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures continues their devotion to the movie industry, and its storied history, with their upcoming film screening series.
In addition to their ongoing series—Available Space, Branch Selects, Family Matinees, and Oscar® Sundays—this spring, they will screen a series on French filmmaker Chris Marker; films by directors Pedro Almodóvar and Spike Lee; six films by Kinuyo Tanaka; and encore presentations of movies by Hayao Miyazaki.
Films are shown in 35mm, 70mm, and digital laser projection in their beautiful 288-seat Ted Mann Theater (TMT) and 1,000-seat David Geffen Theater (DGT). In some cases, films have been restored by the Academy Film Archive or another film partner.
Select screenings include introductions, Q&As, and/or special guests, so please check the official website for updates, download their digital film guide , or follow them @academymuseumscreenings on Instagram.
