::STOP PRESS::

Appearances of Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra

have been extended indefinitely

each week on Wednesday nights

Do not miss this outstanding evening of jazz!

Review:

Caught this gig last Wednesday night and was absolutely blown away! Not only is actor/performer/musician Jeff Goldblum a lively personality (natch), generously giving shout outs to friends and new acquaintances (such as some guy he met when getting a flu shot who told him all about his book…!) and engaging audience members in “The Movie Game” in between songs, but the guy can really play, and sing!

Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra mostly perform jazz standards, which are fun, familiar and accessible.

What I didn’t realize is that Goldblum would invite some astounding singers up on stage, powerhouse voices such as For the Record: Scorsese) who brought the house down with soulful renditions of “What a Wonderful World” and “Summertime.”

Not bad for a white kid!!!

Another guest singer was the magnificent Maiya Sykes who thrilled us with “Night And Day” and, uh, another song I’m blanking on… sorry!

Then the amazing saxophonist Katja Rieckermann stepped up to join the band for a handful of songs. What a superb performer!
