Written by Maykol Hernandez, directed by Luis O”™Malley and produced by 2Rc Teatro, Compania de Reportorio and The Latino Theater Company, La Quinta Pared (The Fifth Wall) is a Spanish language show, presented without supertitles.
Report by Pauline Adamek
An assassin for hire is contracted to end the life of his victim when both of them cross paths with a vagabond on the road. Through this encounter, The Fifth Wall reflects on life, obstacles, phobias, and destiny. What are we? Who are we? What are we doing here? What is our life”™s mission? What impedes us to be what we want, to do what we desire? Are we in control of our own footsteps? Who are the authors of our history?
This performance is the Los Angeles stop in a weeklong festival celebrating Spanish theater throughout the state of California.
