The Bevy returns with an homage to The Golden Age of Burlesque presented at The Mezz, a beautiful 1920’s speakeasy on the 2nd floor of the historic Alexandria Hotel in Downtown LA.
The Golden Age was roughly the 1930s “™till the 1950s and was full of raucous comedy, sultry women and sometimes strange surprises! This redux of this classic era won”™t just be some modern mimicry””they strive to inject the old with the new!
Presenting”¦The Bevy – a collective of some of the most experienced and popular burlesque entertainers and producers in Los Angeles. The Bevy features the best of the best, burlesque entertainers of all ages and experience levels, putting on a rotating monthly revue at The Mezz in downtown LA. The idea is to not only consistently put up quality shows with full production budgets, but also feature the city”™s top talent, solidifying burlesque”™s place as one of the city”™s most booming and crowd-pleasing entertainment industries.
“We have a unique opportunity with burlesque in L.A. because we are such a melting pot,” one of the show”™s producers, Eric Adams said. “Each part of the country seems to have a focus when it comes to burlesque, be it classical, pin up, comedic, etc. But in L.A. we blend a little of everything to create something truly special. It”™s a beautiful collection of all of it.”
Co-producer extraordinaire Lili Von Schtupp has put together a fabulous slate of performers to provide an entire evening of entertainment for you. Guests will enjoy an approximately two-hour show of tantalizing spectacle, after which DJ Eric Adams will be on the decks presenting the best dance tracks, both vintage and new-fangled.
Performers scheduled to appear include:
- Venus DeMille
