This Saturday, don’t miss the 9th Annual Children”™s Art and Poetry Festival — a day-long family celebration jam-packed with hands-on visual and theatre arts workshops for all ages to enjoy. The Festival features a day of fun including music, dance, theatre improv and arts activities. Families can participate in workshops that include making Middle Eastern Chamsas, Foil Sculptures, Faux Stained Glass Windows, Tibetan Peace Flags, and more! Admission is FREE!
This is a hands-on, multi-cultural arts experience for children, teens and parents.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED:

The NoHo Childrens Art and Poetry Festival will be presented on Saturday MAY 8th, 2010, by Theatre of Hopes Youth Spirit division, providing a free day-long opportunity for kids and their families to experience hands-on arts workshops and family entertainment to promote cross-cultural understanding and a love of the arts. Arts activities will include multi cultural art activities Tibetan Peace Flags; Middle Eastern Chamsas;Poetry with a Purpose; Music; Dance and more! Founded in 1996, our mission is to use the Arts as a Tool For Change, through visual and theatre arts education and professional theatrical productions.
Kid Friendly: This is a free, day-long opportunity for kids and their families to experience hands-on arts workshops and family entertainment to promote cross-cultural understanding and a love of the arts.

Mission Statement
Theatre of Hope is dedicated to serving children, youth and families with a comprehensive multi-disciplinary program of visual and theatre arts workshops including: Youth Spirit programs, Women’s Spirit workshops and Theatre as a Tool for Change. Our programs are designed to educate the public about the effects that violence has on ourselves, our families and our communities. Our programs help to promote cross cultural understanding, creative expression, family bonding and reduce violence in our neighborhoods. Our goal is to teach children and families the importance of art in our everyday lives.Visual and Theatre Arts Outreach Organization since 1996.
Arts Education Programs and projects are held in various elementary schools in the San Fernando Valley and in the North Hollywood area – NoHo Arts Community.
Our NoHo Children’s Art and Poetry Festival is held in October each year, at the North Hollywood Recreation and Parks located at Magnolia and Tujunga.
